GUS’ SIP & DIP TO OPEN IN LATE 2024 IN CHICAGO’S RIVER NORTH
Gus’ Sip & Dip, the latest bar from award-winning Beverage Director Kevin Beary and Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants, aims to welcome the next generation of cocktail connoisseurs
Gus’ Sip & Dip is set to open in late 2024 in Chicago’s River North neighborhood. This classic neighborhood bar from Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants will be brought to life by award-winning Beverage Director / Partner Kevin Beary (Three Dots and a Dash and The Bamboo Room) and Chef / Partner Bob Broskey (RPM Restaurants) at 51 W. Hubbard St. The name pays homage to the iconic Gus’ Good Food, which stood at the same address from 1906-1966, blending the warmth and charm of that era with a fresh, elevated twist for today’s guests.
Crafted by Beary and the bar team, the cocktail menu features 30 reinvented favorites—such as a White Russian, Amaretto Sour, Irish Coffee, and Martinis—made with premium spirits. Cocktails are priced at $12 (plus tax), inviting guests to explore without breaking the bank. Gus’ hopes to cultivate the next generation of cocktail enthusiasts through accessible classics.
The kitchen is open late at Gus’ Sip & Dip, allowing guests to enjoy a full dining experience late into the evening. Featuring tavern favorites crafted by Bob Broskey, the offerings include a selection of French dip sandwiches, a shrimp cocktail, a tavern-style burger, and more.
