Start with your choice of spirit—vodka or tequila—then shake with hazelnut Italian liqueur, Kahlua and espresso until you have a frothy pick-me-up. Sprinkle with a pinch of crushed candied hazelnut for a decadent finish.
Hazelnut Espressotini
A sweet, sophisticated spin on the espresso martini
Yield: 1 cocktail
Ingredients:
1 ½ oz. preferred spirit - vodka or tequila
½ oz. Frangelico
1 oz. Kahlua
1 oz. espresso
1 pinch crushed candied hazelnut
Method:
1. In a cocktail shaker, add preferred spirit (vodka or tequila), Frangelico, Kahlua and espresso.
2. Add ice and shake until the shaker is cold to the touch.
3. Strain into desired glassware and garnish with crushed candied hazelnut.
